Description

Goniastrea corals, also known as Closed Brain Corals, are a stunning and increasingly popular LPS coral prized for their unique ball-like growth and vibrant color variations, including the sought-after Dragon Soul and tricolor morphs. Found in warm, shallow reefs, most frags available today are aquacultured for their striking patterns. They thrive in moderate lighting and flow, with proper placement on the substrate or a flat rock surface in larger tanks. While primarily photosynthetic, they benefit from occasional spot feeding with LPS pellets. With their hardiness and striking appearance, Goniastrea corals make a fantastic addition to any reef aquarium.
